Glue

So my kids have discovered glue! We had preschool here last Friday and used glue, and my children now think that it's the most magical toy of all time. We have glued everything from cheerios to popsicle sticks. They have so much fun that every time they ask I can't resist saying yes.

my boys

My boys always look so stinking cute on Sundays, but I haven't had a chance to take a picture of them because we have had 9:00 church, and we were lucky to make it in by the opening song. Now that we moved to 11:00 I stole a second to snap a quick pic.

We have had a lot of stuff going on in our lives right now, but I am so lucky that I have these three people in my life. I am so blessed to have an amazing husband that puts up with me, and no matter what happens all I have to do is look at my two little boys and my focus shifts. I cannot possibly imagine how I could make it through life without them.

Snow Day

My kids were so excited to see some snow! I had shown them some of their cousins snow pictures and Brevin was dying to have a turn.

So after the first time playing in the snow Kesler seemed a little more apprehensive to go outside. He loves the cold about as much as his parents do. But after his brother coerced him he agreed to get ready. All of you moms know this isn't a five minute thing--the 2 layers of clothes, the snowsuit, the boots, the gloves that you can never quite get all the fingers in the right hole...etc...you know what I'm talking about. So twenty minutes later they are completely dressed, I'm sweating. Brevin barrels outside, Kesler walks to the door and says, "coat off." Are you kidding me....no. So he watched for a while from the window...
Then I came up with this brilliant idea to get their new kickballs out let them play soccer in the snow, fun right? Kesler made it about 10 feet and then...

Yeah I know what you're thinking...if your kid is out there crying why are you snapping pictures and not rescuing? Answer: couldn't resist. Brevin offered him some "snow pizza" and after a little big brother charm Kesler stayed out there with him for about twenty minutes. Don't worry, though, he never left that position.

Christmas...and then some...

Breelle, Brevin and Kesler took it upon themselves to make a special package for Santa. Nate helped them the first time, when they included a note that said they didn't have any cookies for Santa. But after I had made some holiday cookies they rewrapped a package including cookies. Bryson was watching them and they were putting several in the box, so he told them they didn't need to have that many. Brevin said "Dad we need a lot so there are some for the reindeer." To which Bryson's reply was..."The reindeer will already be full from eating at everyone else's house....now take a few out." Waiting for Grandpa Thayne's surprise. He told them to close their eyes. They looked so stinking cute I had to snap a quick pic.

On Christmas Eve we first went to the Daniels Family party. Santa had just walked in and I thought the look of wonderment in Brevin and Breelle's eyes was priceless.

I was pleasantly surprised that both Brevin & Kesler sat on Santa's lap. This is the first year for Brevin, and Kesler just does what ever "Brever" (that's Brevin and brother combined) does.

Kesler got a singing rocking horse that everyone was begging to have the batteries removed from.

Even though Brevin spent the entire night puking his guts out, he still tried his best to have a fun day. We weren't able to go to everyone's house like we had planned, but they enjoyed their toys at Grandpa Thanye and Grandma Mary Ann's house.

It seemed to be a cowboy/farming themed Christmas purely by accident. Cowboy hats, horse trailers, stick horse, rocking horse, barns, tractors, cows etc. were strewn about the Daniels house.

New years resolution...update blog more often...hold me to it :)
